If not, their customers will sooner or later cast their ballot by using a competitor whom they trust. Our business society is built around trust. Trust in our relationships, in our service and in our products. It is unmistakable. When something goes wrong, maybe the meal at your restaurant was not up to par or maybe the shirt you starched and pressed was not done up to your normal standard; you have to make it right, or your customers will leave and go somewhere that will make it right. P. T. Barnum supposedly said, " You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. " We should learn to fool no one at anytime. Learn to take responsibility upfront so when something does go right your customers will know who gets the credit. It will be very evident to them.  Decide now to take responsibility for the bad as well as the good and it will be good for you and your business over the long haul. Don ' t be like most of the politicians, be honest and take the good with the bad. Remember, it ' s your business, learn to take full responsibility and you will eventually get all the credit.
